F rom escape rooms to countryside away days. But if you’re looking for something that delivers **real teamwork, unforgettable fun and lasting impact**, nothing beats dragon boating. At Dragon Boat Experience (DBX), we specialise in helping companies strengthen collaboration and morale through events on the water that go far beyond the office. ## Why Dragon Boating Outshines Traditional Team Building Activities - **Escape rooms** are great for problem-solving, but they often involve only small groups and don’t engage everyone equally. - **Outdoor away days** can be fun, but they often lack the teamwork element that carries over into the workplace. - **Sports days or challenges** can feel competitive, but not always inclusive — especially for less sporty team members. Dragon boating is different. With **up to 20 paddlers working together in one boat**, plus a drummer and a helm, success depends on rhythm, communication and trust. It’s the perfect metaphor for how great teams work in business: when everyone pulls together, you move forward faster. ## The Benefits of Corporate Dragon Boating 1. **Teamwork & Collaboration** Every stroke has to be in sync, teaching groups to listen, adapt, and support one another. 2. **Leadership Development** Crew captains and drummers step into natural leadership roles, giving employees a chance to practise and showcase skills. 3. **Inclusive & Accessible** You don’t need to be sporty or have prior experience — our coaches provide full safety briefings and training so anyone can join in. 4. **Health & Wellbeing** Getting outdoors, active, and on the water is refreshing for both mind and body. 5. **Fun That Lasts** The mix of adrenaline, laughter, and friendly competition creates memories that teams carry back to the workplace. ## Iconic London Locations for Corporate Events DBX delivers corporate dragon boat experiences in some of the city’s most exciting and scenic spots: - **Canary Wharf** – a central London location with great accessibility for city-based companies. - **Docklands** – historic waters with plenty of space for multiple boats and large teams. - **Surrey Quays** – paddle against the backdrop of London’s financial hub, perfect for corporate groups We also host events at rivers and lakes across the UK for companies with regional offices. ## A Case Study: Turning Colleagues into Crews Recently, DBX hosted a team building event for a London-based tech company. Many of the employees had never tried dragon boating before, and some were nervous about being on the water. With coaching and encouragement, the teams quickly found their rhythm. By the final race of the day, colleagues who barely spoke in the office were cheering each other on, and managers told us they’d “never seen the team so energised.” The result? Improved communication, new friendships, and a stronger sense of unity carried back into their day-to-day work. ## Why Choose DBX for Your Corporate Team Building? With over 20 years of combined paddling and coaching experience, and affiliations with **Windy Pandas** Dragon Boat Club, one of the UK’s most well-known charity dragon boat teams and we know what it takes to deliver professional, safe and inspiring events. Our certified coaches ensure every participant feels included, confident and motivated. ## Ready to Transform Your Next Corporate Away Day?
